The Challenge of and Strategies for Equal Access to Information with Learning and Research Commons in Libraries in the Caribbean:
Moving Towards the Future and the Future is Here!

with the participation of ELLEN TISE, IFLA President
(International Federation of Library Associations) /
Senior Director of Library and Information Servicesl,
at Stellenbosch University, South Africa

and  ARDIS HANSON, ACURIL President
(Association of Caribbean University, Research
and Institutional Libraries)/
Research Coordinator,
of the College of Behavioral and Community Services,
at the University of South Florida

The activity has been scheduled to take place on Friday, March 25, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m., at Plaza Universitaria, University of Puerto Rico.

We intend to create a podcast and videotape the event live for the ACURIL UStream Channel, for this and other events, to be placed on our web page for the benefit of all.  The conference on UStream will be also be placed on the IFLA Webpage.

Registration is limited to 75 persons to allow for a Team work strategy as part of the conference dynamics.

In order to allow for space reservation, opportunity is given to all interested in attending the activity through Eventbrite:

The activity is free of charge, and the Graduate School of Information Sciences and Tecnologies, of the University of Puerto Rico, will issue a Certificate of Continuing Education and Professional Development to all  attendees.
