ACURIL XXXVIII Montego Bay, JAMAICA, June 1-6, 2008

The e-librarian: ideas, innovation and inspiration!

Information and communication technology (ICT) has become an integral part of life and for the librarian and other information professionals. ICT, in all its manifestations, is a vital workplace tool. ACURIL 2008 seeks to explore strategies and practices that will allow us, as information professionals, to develop and use these technologies to the benefit of those we serve.

The 38th ACURIL Conference, hosted by LIAJA (Library and Information Association of Jamaica) will examine leading-edge tools and techniques for information management and dissemination, the evolution of the web and e-resources. Successful digital initiatives and innovations, the evolving role and competencies of the librarian, and other issues of working in a virtual world will be highlighted.

Join us at ACURIL 2008, as we explore the opportunities and challenges of managing libraries, computers, digital information, and people in a cohesive, creative and productive way.
